about

After the huge success of their 1968 hit “Nobody But Me”, Youngstown’s Human Beinz struggled with the same thing most young bands thrown into stardom do - following up. Their second LP failed to produce a hit, and by the time they returned from their 1969 tour of Japan, it was clear the band wouldn’t continue as it was. Guitarist Ting Markulin remained the torch bearer and began writing new songs with his cousin Steve Markulin, who had recently left Glass Harp to join the new Human Beinz. In 1971 they entered Peppermint Productions in Youngstown to record their new songs, but sadly no labels were interested. They continued writing and occasionally preforming throughout the 70’s and 80’s, and they recorded as well though never released any of it. These singles give a glimpse into the unshared story of where The Human Beinz went after 1969.
